I enjoy this place everytime often getting it to go because we live so close. It does taste better eating it fresh while dining in. I've never had a bad meal. Cooked fresh, everytime. Orange chicken, generals tso, teriyaki bowl, yakisoba all good dishes!!!!

Horrible, the curry had to be out of a bottle, only had a few shrimp and the to go box leaked all over me So looking forward to the salad, same thing the dressing tasted stale Never again

Terrible-very salty. The counter person was mopping the dining room while diners were eating. Nasty! I wouldn't go back if the food was free.

Gross! Had high hopes but this place shot them in the face! From terrible techno crap (not worthy of being called electronic music which I love) to the nasty pile of garbage on my plate. Deserves zero stars... The rice was even overdone. Uh... Vomit!

I wanted to take my wife out to lunch today, so we headed out to Taco Del Mar only to find it shuttered. Rather than turn around, we figured we'd give the Teriyaki Guys next door a try. This turned out to be a mistake. I ordered the Chicken Curry and my wife ordered a pork dish of some kind. After a bit of sticker shock realizing that I had just paid over $20 for two entrees, with a drink to split, I resolved to keep an open mind and hoped that the quality would justify the price. When my food was ready, I noticed that the chicken was not all the same consistency. Some of the pieces appeared deep fried. I tried the dish, but I couldn't even taste curry. The chicken tasted gross and the sauce itself had little to no flavor. I asked my wife to try and she shared my reaction. Unfortunately, her pork dish was nearly as bad. We did not finish our meals, but instead left hungry and ended up walking over to Burger King for lunch. We will not be back.

I don't understand the bad reviews! The food is delicious and fast with much more variety then most teriyaki places. I expected lower quality being so close to Wal-Mart but was pleasantly surprised.

Very slow service. First open restaurant fast service and now all new workers are very slow.

First time here and most likely not going back, got the chicken curry. Was not pleased at all, bad quality food, didn't even taste like curry, chicken was also horrible.

Loved it! The service was great and the employees were extremely nice. The food is pretty tasty and their tofu is good. The only downfall, in my opinion, is that dinner for two, with sodas, is a little over $20, but at least the food is good.

Wasn't really thrilled with it. My husband said he liked spicy beef but I didn't think it was good. Teriyaki sauce tastes like grocery store kind. I like my teriyaki chicken I make at home with Yoshidas better. And they give you sweet and sour condiment packets to go with sweet & sour chicken.

The quality of this new establishment seems to go a little bit more downhill each time we visit. The sweet and sour chicken was completely overcooked and nearly uneatable. The floor of the restaurant is disgusting. Think this is farewell....

I don't understand these terrible reviews, these have to be competitors... such as Teriyaki Joy. This place is incredible. Excellent food, great staff and clean, nice atmosphere. The spicy chicken is my favorite, they include heaping amount of rice and salad, they also include extra sauces without requesting and a mint. I am always impressed when I go there. Excellent food and service I rate 8 stars if I could!

I so wanted this place to improve as it is blocks from my house and there weren't any other Teriyaki places close. Because of my last 2 visits however I will not go back. 1) I walked in about 5pm on a weekday and the place was empty. I order and pay for 2 chicken yakisobas. Immediately after me walk in about 3 other parties and order. Wait about 5 minutes and the cashier brings me out a bag with only 1 yakisoba in it. I immediately tell her it is missing an order and she runs back and verifies and tells me they will get it right out. It takes them 15 minutes to get me the rest of my order as they are completing the other 3 parties that arrived after me before they start on the rest of my order. I was so frustrated and by the time I got home the first order of yakisoba was cold. 2) A couple weeks later I order again 2 chicken yakisoba (as it is the only thing they seem to make semi well) and an order of Gyoza. Again it takes about 5 minutes and they deliver my yakisoba, but no Gyoza. The cashier says so sorry and it will take about 5 more minutes to complete. Based on my last visit I just walk out. I will never go back to this terrible excuse for teriyaki and customer service. Especially now that Joy Teriyaki has opened on 257th and Stark. If you have never been to Joy it is the best I have had in Portland and so glad it is closer to home now.

Ordered the vegetable rice bowl. Vegetables included cabbage, a couple slices of onions and five or six shreds of carrots. A lousy medley and undercooked. The other entree was Teriyaki chicken breast. It was precooked chicken that was reheated with rice. Dry and the sauce was cold. This is bad fast food. Save your money.

My family & I have been to this place a couple of times. Each time we are promptly greeted, orders taken, food arrives. My teenage daughter says the food is "yummy goodness". We will continue to be customers here.

Ever since I saw them changing the sign from Quiznos to Teriyaki Guys I wanted to stop in and give it a try. I was disappointed, like the previous person said they don't ask you what sides you want or give you any recommendations for the entrees, as soon as you walk in the doors you are practically at the cash register with the big menu board above you.. I tried the spicy chicken and was not happy with the small portion of chicken. I also didn't like the raw mushrooms added to it. They did give me a little "Korean frozen dessert" it was pretty good, even though I have no idea what it was since those are the only english words on the container and there is no mention of it on the menu..
